It’s that time of year. We’re outside in the cold dry air. We’re inside in the warm dry air. We forget our lipbalm, we lick our lips. Oh no!!! Now what to do?
I’m around natural organic nourishing vegetable oils and butters all day long, but which is the best for curing cracked dry lips? And how long does it take for lips to heal? That’s my mission in the next few months. I don’t want to use a medicated balm. My regular lip balm is fantastic for keeping your lips moist and protecting them from the elements. However I want to make one that heals quicker for this time of year.
2012 Our second full year in Westport. We are lovin it!!
I spent part of this year working on the business side of Bell Soap. The big stuff that Bell Soap accomplished this year was.......
New Website!!! I hired a talented local web guy, Joe - Country Multimedia out of Brockville Ontario to recreate my website. This has allowed me to easily make changes whenever I want. I’m really happy with it.
New Products!!! I created a few new soaps in response to customer requests and just because I can :) Activated Charcoal - a soap for problem, acne prone skin. Pink Himalayan Salt Bars
and Germany, Belgium and Victoria too. But first let me tell you about Cuba.
Mario Franco, a local Westport musician is working with a charitable organization to send containers to help victims from Hurricane Sandy in Cuba. A large part of eastern Cuba was devastated by Sandy.
I grew up hearing my mom repeat these little phrases. I always thought they were stupid and annoying. Roll your eyes. As I grew older and older, I found myself repeating them. What? I was becoming my mother. Well that's not such a bad thing. But! But, it wasn't just repeating the sayings, I was living the sayings. I didn't and don't like wasting ANYTHING. I save leftovers, I make stew, soup, dog food. If we have a party, the extras go to a homeless shelter. Well, same with my soap.
